Underclassman Showcase: Invitation

Diamond Prospect Showcases

College Park & Collins Park*Charleston, SC*October 13-14, 2006

Diamond Prospects announces a two-day showcase for 2008, 2009 and 2010 graduates on October 13-14, 2006 at Collins Park (Friday night) and College Park (Saturday morning) in Charleston. This showcase is designed for the player who possesses the abilities to play at the collegiate level or beyond. If you are an underclassman, think you are that caliber of player and want to land on the college baseball radar, it would strongly benefit you to attend this event!

TheDiamondProspects.com now provides the #1 coverage of high school baseball in the state of South Carolina. We conduct interviews and are in direct communication with the top players and coaches across the Palmetto State, past and present. We get out and watch plenty of baseball and write reports about the teams and players we see for post-high school evaluators. Our goal is to ensure that no player in our state gets overlooked!

Diamond Prospects has quickly become highly regarded among college coaches and professional scouts in the Tri-State area. Many across the Carolina’s have told us that checking the site’s contents have become part of their morning routine!

How can a Diamond Prospect Showcase assist you?

q       Unmatched exposure to the top decision-makers in our area, we’ll give you the opportunity to display your talents to the people who matter!

q       It puts you on the radar for Diamond Prospects to further publicize you. Following the showcase, we’ll list the top 60 and POP times, peak velocity’s and put together a top prospect list, all of this will be posted on the website!

q       The top traveling teams in the Carolina’s will be on-hand looking for players.

Understand this, it is never too early to showcase yourself to coaches and scouts. Remember, the schools in attendance will be looking to deepen their list of names to follow in the spring and next summer. The more you put yourself out there, the greater the chance that you’ll be found!

The showcase should fill quickly and will be limited to the first 80 players who sign-up. If you have baseball in your future beyond high school, you don’t want to miss out on this opportunity that could alter your career forever!

FYI: Both ballparks we will be using are where the movie Major League 3 was filmed. College Park remains the practice facility of The Citadel and was the long-time home to Charleston’s minor league team. This showcase will be done in conjunction with a Diamond Devil Wood Bat Tournament; partnering this separate event should help us attract even more evaluators than the 30 college coaches/pro scouts we had at our last showcase. Also, pitcher’s who will be participating in the tournament: You will face four hitters so you can pitch for your traveling team as well. The two events will not conflict.

The application is on the second page, please return ASAP to ensure yourself a spot. Check-in will begin at 6:00 PM on Friday, October 13th. Be sure to stay tuned to TheDiamondProspects.com five days prior to the showcase for any last second information, team rosters, etc.

If getting to Charleston in time for the 7:00 PM start time becomes difficult, let us know, we can work with you.

We hope to see you there!
