It feels like the entire town is there to rally behind their beloved Red Foxes with fans even stacked up along the leftfield cement wall. Hartsville baseball atmosphere is unlike any other and is an absolute treat to be able to attend these games, especially in a highly-anticipated matchup like this one. The Airport Eagles take on their host the Hartsville Red Foxes in the winner’s bracket of the 4A Lower State playoffs. Hartsville is coming off a 15-4 victory against Beaufort to place them in this position while Airport won a tight contest in walk-off fashion 2-1 against James Island. The stage is set for a great pitching matchup as Clemson signee Cam Cannarella of Hartsville takes on future Wolf and Newberry signee Blake Morrison. With a packed house, air horns galore, and rowdy fans, the 4A Lower State playoff winner’s bracket game was set to get underway.
